45 Days and Counting
19.03.2013 - 19.03.2013
It is hard to believe but our trip of lifetime is getting ever so close. 39 intrepid SAIT Travel and Tourism students and three instructors will depart for Peru on May 4th. This 10 day trip will take in the highlights of this ancient and mysterious country.
Some of the highlights will include a culinary tour (where we will learn to make ceviche and the local drink Pisco Sours), volunteering at Cuzco Kids Project (a local drop in center for children) and a visit to a Women's Weaving Project. In addition we will be taking in the tourist sights of Cuzco, Ollantaytambo, the Sacred Valley and, of course, Machu Picchu.
About half of the students will be hiking one day of the Inca Trail that winds through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes.
We hope you will come back often to read more about our adventures.
